Biography

My name is Ross Sivertsen, I work and live in Dallas, Texas. I am a native Texan, having lived in Dallas my entire life.

I am married (Wife v2.0) with two wonderful children and a great stepson. My wife, Jill, and my stepson, Britton live with me here in Dallas. My daughter, Lauren lives in Seattle, and my son, Philip, live in Tucson with his mother.

Both my son and stepson are autistic; my son also has Down syndrome. I have served on the board of directors of the Autism Society of Collin County (http://www.autism-ascc.org), a non-profit foundation for educational and support information for families, teachers, and caregivers of people with Autism.

I also serve as CTO and board member of the Barnabas Journey (http://barnabasjourney.org). The Barnabas Journey is a faith based non-profit organization that seeks to create a safe and honest environment for life change where people can evaluate their behavior patterns and beliefs in the context of God’s unconditional love and grace.

I work for Peerless Manufacturing Company as the CIO and Director of Technology Services. Peerless designs and manufactures a wide range of compact, high efficiency filtration and separation equipment and environmental systems for the reduction of air pollution. Peerless serve the energy industry around the world, including gas and oil production, petrochemical processing and power generating facilities.

I hold a Master of Science in Information Assurance, and an MBA from the University of Dallas; a Bachelor of Science in Business and Computer Science from the University of Phoenix, post-baccalaureate certificates in information security from UD and lean enterprise from the University of Texas at Arlington.
